Jemeluk Bay is one of the most famous places for scuba diving in Amed Bali.

The bay combines colorful coral gardens with deeper reef slopes and walls. Divers can explore hard and soft corals, sea fans, sponges and an incredible variety of tropical fish.
​
The area is also known for fascinating macro creatures, including nudibranchs, scorpionfish, moray eels, shrimp and other small reef inhabitants.
​
Jemeluk Bay is an excellent choice for divers who want to slow down, explore the reef and spend time searching for marine life.

AMED WALL
DRAMATIC CORAL WALLS & INCREDIBLE MARINE LIFE
The Amed Wall, located around Jemeluk Bay, is one of the most impressive dive sites in the area.

The underwater landscape features jagged walls covered with barrel sponges, sea fans, hard corals, soft corals and black corals. Schools of reef fish move along the wall while smaller creatures hide among the reef.
​
Divers may encounter trevally, snapper, fusilier, triggerfish, butterflyfish, moray eels, turtles and numerous macro species.
​
As you move into shallower water, the reef becomes especially interesting for macro photographers searching for nudibranchs, scorpionfish and other tiny creatures.

JAPANESE SHIPWRECK
DISCOVER AMED'S HISTORIC WORLD WAR II WRECK
The Japanese Shipwreck is one of the most popular dive sites in Amed and an important historical attraction beneath the surface.

This World War II-era wreck has become an artificial reef, with hard and soft corals growing around the structure and marine life using it as shelter.
​
Despite being a relatively small wreck, it can be surprisingly rich in marine life.
Look carefully around the wreck and surrounding reef for nudibranchs, frogfish, groupers, barracuda, batfish, octopus and blue-spotted stingrays.

The Amed Pyramids are underwater artificial reef structures designed to create additional habitat for marine life.

Over time, these structures have become home to different reef creatures and fish. The site provides an interesting contrast between natural coral formations and purpose-built underwater structures.

Divers can explore around the pyramids while searching for moray eels, reef fish, anemones and macro creatures.

BUNUTAN POINT

Bunutan Point is one of the officially recognized dive sites around Amed and is located a short local boat ride from Amed Beach.

The Garden Eel site offers something completely different from the dramatic walls and wrecks of Amed.

As the name suggests, the sandy seabed can be home to colonies of garden eels that disappear into their burrows when divers approach too closely.

This type of dive is all about patience and observation.

Slow down, stay low and watch the sand carefully. You may also discover nudibranchs, shrimp, gobies, crabs and other fascinating macro creatures.
